This Beam optic transforms the Orbiter into the brightest full-color LED spot light on the market, thanks to it's new reflector-focused optical concept and the Orbiter's Spectra light engine. The Orbiter Beam produces an illuminance level that is comparable to the Daylight M-Series M18, enabled by its tighter beam angle.

The Orbiter Beam has a large aperture, yet its housing is compact (approx. 573 mm x 548 mm x 548 mm / 22.6 in x 21.6 in x 21.6 in) and lightweight (5,9 kg / 13 lbs.). The reflector’s diameter of 530 mm (20.9 in) is similar in size to the M90.

The optic consists of two parts, the reflector and the snoot, which can easily be separated and stacked for convenient storage and transport.

The Orbiter Beam utilizes a unique manual focus adjustment that allows for a soft or hard beam edge.

Application possibilities

This parallel beam light is perfectly suited especially within cinematic applications—either for long throw distances or indirectly bounced. The Orbiter Beam optic is an ideal option for creating the illusion of natural light from a distance. The unique and authentic look of this light fixture makes it a go-to choice for filmmakers when simulating sun- or moonlight in film projects.

Mounting

Orbiter’s unique Quick Lighting Mount (QLM) system allows the Beam optic to be mounted safely and quickly. The LiOS2 or higher update ensures an automatic recognition of this new optic.

The yokes for Orbiter come with a newly developed release system that allows for quick change from a manual version lamphead to a pole operated version. The 28 mm spigot (Junior pin) is already mounted on the yoke. No tools needed for setting up Orbiter.

Including a 4" full-color display, quick navigation buttons, and integrated sensors, the Orbiter control panel allows for easy use with a graphic user interface. Simplified menu structure and reimagined user interfaces provide one-glance operational views and uncluttered screens.
This intuitive design makes changing colors or finding a setting easier than ever before. In addition, the control panel is removable and can be used handheld with the aid of a control panel cable.

The two elements of the optic, the reflector and snoot, can be easily separated and stacked for convenient storage and transport. The Orbiter Beam comprises a unique manual hot-spot adjustment allowing variation from hard to soft edge light. No additional accessories for the Orbiter Beam optic such as barndoors or snoots are required as the light beam produced is already nicely focused.

On the occasion of our 100th anniversary of ARRI Lighting in 2024, we are giving you 3 Open Face optics (15°, 30°, 60°) on top of every Orbiter Beam Set.
The Open Face optics produce a high-output, directional beam of light in several different beam angles including 15°, 30°, and 60°. They are perfect for throwing light long distances or providing a broad swath of light. The accessory slot can be used with modifiers such as barndoors or snoots.

FAQ

A snoot is already included as default. There are no further accessories for this optic.

Yes, but for ideal performance of the collimated beam, as well as to prevent undesired spill light, the use of the snoot is highly recommended.
