A motorized focus drive is now available for the successful ARRI Shift and Tilt System, making handling much easier. The various Shift and Tilt lenses each need, depending on their focal length, different focusing distances – particularly the short focal lengths on which the entire focusing motion is often only a few millimetres. To enable more exact focusing, the focus drive has now been motorised. The Controlled Focus Motor CFM-1 is connected to the new Universal Motor Controller UMC-1 and can be remote-controlled by the existing manual control units of the ARRI LCS system. With the LCS control units, the focusing range of the hand wheel attached can be extended or compressed as desired. A finer adjustment or a quicker focus change can thus be achieved.
