Boats approach across the misty lake at dawn. In the first boat we see a young man standing behind the coffin of his love. The cortege moves towards the village cemetery. When the young man is about to bid his love farewell at the open grave, he suddenly has a vision. He thinks he can see the deceased on the opposite mountain ridge. She beckons him over to her and he storms off through the shocked mourning congregation, away from the cemetery. But wherever he follows her, she is gone before he reaches her. He follows her into a lit-up castle. He enters a bedroom decorated with candles and sees his love with another man. When the other man turns to face him, he looks into his own face....
Authors Thomas Letocha and Andreas Föhr: "The script of "Circle of Love" was a great challenge
for us as authors. Not only did we have to create images that met a
multitude of technical requirements: additionally, we were faced with
the task of conceiving a gripping storyline that the audience would
also enjoy seeing a number of times in succession. "
