ARRI SkyPanel – The Beauty Light!

During a recent production in Hollywood the ARRI SkyPanel got its nickname: the "Beauty Light". With its unique soft light quality the ARRI SkyPanel is perfect for lighting difficult situations such as close up shots or shadow critical object shots.

It’s a kind of a “lighting make up” so we have been told by the users. Exclusively available from ARRI, the SkyPanel sets new standards in the lighting industry. The modular system offers a wide variety of applications and gives the user a real “pay off” product on hand.

Since the SkyPanel was first introduced at the CINEC 2002 as a 5600K version, ARRI got some very good feedback from its customers for this unique and new fixture – thanks for that to all of you.

We have listened very carefully to all comments and decided to do some redesign to the SkyPanel to make it even more flexible and lightweight. Based on ARRI’s experience in extruded aluminum profiles, the new version comes in an aluminum profile housing which is even lighter in weight and more sturdy at the same time.

Also the cable management and the connectors have been improved. With regard to the handling, a Baby Plate slide in support, the adjustable stirrup, and a more flexible accessory holder were incorporated.


At NAB 2004, ARRI Lighting has introduced the 3200K version of the SkyPanel based on high demanded by our customers. The 3200K version is again a unique development between Osram and ARRI, which is exclusively available from ARRI Lighting. The tungsten version of the SkyPanel is identical to the daylight version except for the color temperature and features the same advantages in lighting and design.
