ARRI Ceramic Technology - A New Choice

At this year’s NAB ARRI Lighting put it’s focus most of all on the new ARRI Ceramic Technology. With all the benefits of this new light source ARRI is offering a new choice for many lighting applications.

The introduction of Ceramic Softlight by using the intensifier technology seems to be just the right solution where effective softlight in combination with long lamp lifetime is required. Lighting setups such as installations in 24/7 news studios can realize a significant profit out of the 4000hrs lamp lifetime.

Furthermore the lower power consumption, compared to standard halogen fixtures, adds a significant profit to the balance. The very good feedback on the ARRI Ceramic Technology and the first realized projects show a successful future for those fixtures.

Additionally to the ARRI X Ceramic 250, which has been introduced in our last newsletter, ARRI Lighting has developed a Fresnel style Ceramic fixture, the Studio Ceramic 250. Modeled after the ARRI 2000 tungsten Fresnel design, the Studio Ceramic 250 evolved into an optimized and balanced lamp head.

Currently used as a test fixture in recent projects, the Studio Ceramic 250 convinced due to similar benefits like the ARRI X Ceramic 250: lamp performance, cooler housing temperatures, lower power consumption, higher lamp life, hot re-strike, integrated ballast, 3200K color temperature and a Color Rendering Index >90.
