ARRI Newsletter 17, 06/2006

Dear Customers,

At Cine Gear Expo in Los Angeles (June 23-24), ARRI will have the latest gear for attendees to see as well as many exciting events to check out. Come to Booth #171 and check out the new ARRIFLEX 416 cameras (which is just now on its first production), D-20 film style HD camera, ARRIMAX 18/12 (the brightest HMI light on the planet), the MaxMover automated stirrup and the updated ARRISCAN. The trade show will also mark the much-awaited announcement of where the ARRIFLEX D-20's new West Coast home will be.

On June 24 join us at the Wadsworth Theater during Cine Gear for "The State of Our Technical Arts" presentation. The event includes a screening of the film "The Power of 16," which highlights the past and present of 16mm filmmaking, along with its very bright future as new film stocks, digital intermediates and the ARRIFLEX 416 camera come into play. Director/Cinematographer Jon Fauer, ASC will lead a Cine Gear Master Class titled "The 'New' Super 16," on June 25 from 9 am to 12 pm. Fauer will be the tour guide through a toy store of new stuff: ARRIFLEX 416, Aaton XTRProd2, lenses, accessories, cool retrofits for your old cameras, and more.

That same day, the documentary Cinematographer Style will premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival. Directed by Fauer, the film features over 110 interviews with internationally renowned cinematographers explaining their art and craft. The film was sponsored by ARRI, Technicolor, and Kodak. The screening is free and open to the public.
