ARRI Events at Berlinale 2018

"Experience ARRI at Berlinale 2018" - At the 68th Berlin International Film Festival, ARRI presents several events and supports Berlinale Talents as co-partner. An overview.

From February 15 to 25, 2018, the 68th Berlinale takes place. Again this year, ARRI attends the Berlin International Film Festival with numerous activities all under the slogan "Experience ARRI at Berlinale". On February 16, the film technology manufacturer celebrates with partners and friends at the ARRI Opening Night Reception. Over the next few days, interested parties are able to experience ARRIs extensive portfolio of products and services for the motion picture industry featured in various showrooms and presentations.

The Making of Netflix`s DARK-Live Interview with the Creators

The first German Netflix Original series DARK was postproduced by ARRI Media after being shot with ALEXA 65 and Ultra-Prime lenses and lit with SkyPanels from ARRI Rental. Showrunner Baran Bo Odar, Executive Producer Justyna Muesch (Wiedemann & Berg), Postproduction Supervisor Sven Nuri, Gaffer Bjoern Susen, Sound Designer/Supervising Sound Editor Alexander Wuertz, and Lead Colorist Steffen Paul (both ARRI Media), moderated by Elfi Kerscher (ARRI), will give insights into production and postproduction.

From February 17 to 22, Berlinale Talents welcomes around 250 international young film professionals to a cinematic dialogue. As co-partner, ARRI actively supports this important platform for promoting young talents and is contributing to parts of the program again this year. While some events that involve ARRI expert participation-including the "Talents Circle" about ARRI`s International Support Program (February 17), the networking dinner "Dine & Shine" (February 18), and the workshop "Camera Studio" (February 21) with the Portuguese cinematographer Rui Pocas as well as experts from ARRI Rental-are reserved for talents, it´s possible to buy tickets for other events.

Lighting the Future: BLADE RUNNER 2049, supported by ARRI
The intense, oppressive atmosphere of Denis Villeneuve's BLADE RUNNER 2049 was created with cutting-edge lighting technology from ARRI Rental and the craftsmanship of gaffer Krisztián Paluch and lighting programer Titusz Badonics. At the workshop, the experts talk about the challenges and practical implementation of lighting as well as thier cooperation with director Villeneuve and the film's Oscar nominated cinematographer Roger Deakins.
